I've picked up what both Hisime and Kihara insist on referring to as my "minion."

Oddly, they never referred to Nehima as Hisime's minion, but it's been long apparent that trying to make sense of those two is futile.

She's a Mithra from Windurst, and a mage on top of that, so I'm not entirely sure why I was placed in charge of her, but she seems eager enough, and she's certainly a very nice individual. I do feel a bit guilty that I'm never around, though. She knows she can contact the others any time she wants, though, and that someone will be able to get to her in case of an emergency...

The hat, though, is ridiculous. I can't believe they thought these were really necessary.

Loaning

Grozoth never returned my chain mail before going on holiday.

If he doesn't come back and return it soon, I honestly think I'm going to find and kill him. That's mine and I spent good gil for it!

Well... That was possibly the most disorienting thing I've ever experienced.

Why haven't they roped those things off? It cannot possibly be sane or safe to just leave those maws around to suck up whoever is foolish enough to approach one.

Kihara, not to sound rude or condescending, but I'd advise you to learn their locations and avoid them, because Vana'diel twenty years ago is a much harsher place than it is today. I'm sure Hisime can attest to that, as she apparently had troubles everywhere she went, including Ronfaure, of all places.

The Beastmen are nastier and the creatures wandering around are drastically different, as well as tougher than we're used to.

It's amazing how things have changed in the last few years, to be honest.

And I'm not sure what's become of La Theine, as we - I was traveling with Aniko, thank Altana. I'd never have made it, otherwise - entered East Ronfaure through Jugner. We couldn't safely return to San d'Oria the normal way, and West Ronfaure is blocked off from inside the city, anyway, so it's probably a good thing we didn't try.

Conclusion:

There's something wrong with that Brass pot. Everything I've ever tried growing in it has only come to worms. I took it from Kihara after she had similar results for quite some time. I may simply stop using it. Grow some flowers and have them dried, or some such thing.

I always like seeing what grows, though. I know there are ways to affect the outcome, but I don't particularly care what I get (so long as it is not worms).

Hisi, I promise to stop making jokes about people being surprised when I do things when you stop making jokes about me never doing anything.

I was called into Jeuno (okay, I was in Jeuno so they decided to ask for my help, since it was easier than trying to find someone else) and - I got to meet the Archduke. I now see why Hisime maintains that he and his brother are a tad creepy.

They sent me on a mission, which I'm not supposed to talk about. Obviously, I'm not going to. Aniko helped me through a few areas I'd never have been able to pass through otherwise and, long story short, when I returned to the city, I was granted both an airship pass and Rank 5 in San d'Oria.

... If I said I only rode the airship once and was calm and collected the whole time, I doubt none of you would believe me, so I'm not really going to bother (even though you could argue I just did).

I swear, if the moogles do anything as ridiculously pointless as they did last year, I may just scream.

I do not need another twilight crystal littering my home.

...Morning post, Aniko!

We were successful. Actually, the battle went better this time then last I attempted, in that I was standing at the end of it (though just barely; curses are vile things).

I wish those dragons would simply die, though. A pity none have been found able to actually kill the things yet. I suppose weakening it every so often has worked well enough so far... still, though.

Now I am in Windurst, though. How exciting? I may spend a few days here before heading back to San d'Oria, if only because I don't feel like riding a chocobo all that way just yet.

Hisime...

You're not, I think, going to be very happy with me.

Honestly.

All right, already; I got one of those ridiculous hats. Could you stop, already, you two?

I keep growing garlic. This is very odd. What are the chances of all of those seeds being for garlic? Yet I have at least eighteen bulbs of the stuff now.

I think I'll be selling most of it and giving the rest to Hisime so she can get Nabiki to make more kabobs for her.

I grew a sobbing fungus.

I gave it to Hisime.

She gave it to an ungrateful little brat in Windurst.

My, but life is interesting.

Like every adventurer, I receive a copy of the Vana'diel tribune whenever it's put out, and, perhaps unlike every adventurer, I read it.

I'm not sure if either of you do that..?

Regardless, this time around there was an article about Prince Trion and was, I suppose, supposed to appeal to the younger adventurers, because it read like a bad romance. ...Which, I suppose, was what it was supposed to seem to be (aside from the "bad" part).

Honestly? So he talks to females. I talk to males. Hisime, Kihara, Nabiki, Crytuf, Nehima, Nomii, Evanta, and many other girls talk to males. Saito, Shadowlotus, Ziedrich, and other males talks to females.

I just wonder sometimes why they think we care about who the princes talk to. Were they normal citizens, I'm certain this would never have come up to begin with.

There. I said something. Are you happy now?
ayarei: (Skyward)
Hisime, do you remember Ziedrich? That Hume red mage who disappeared (and we all assumed he had retired) a while ago? I saw him in San d'Oria today.
ayarei: (Ayarei)
Hisime, I saw an Elvaan named Crytuf on the LinkShell today. Did you invite her, or was it Nabiki?
